GSA has published an update to the Evolution to LTE report, confirming that 156 operators in 64 countries are currently investing in LTE, as of October 2010. This number includes 113 LTE network commitments in 46 countries and 43 additional pre-commitment LTE trials.

GSA anticipates that at least 55 LTE networks will be in commercial service by end 2012.

Currently, there are seven commercial LTE systems: TeliaSonera in Norway and Sweden, MTS and Ucell in Uzbekistan, Mobyland and CenterNet in Poland, MetroPCS in the U.S., and Mobilkom in Austria.
